An Email to Mark Cuban

I just sent an email to Mark Cuban requesting a proposal.  The proposal is this: Next time Mark feels the inclination to speak out against something in the NBA, something that would justify a fine, that he "hold his tongue" and instead donate the money towards our adoption!

Mark Cuban has been an incredible influence on the NBA and on the Dallas Mavericks, my favorite NBA team.  He is an incredible business mind and I am hoping that he sees the blessing that this can bring to a life.  He is known for speaking out against things in the NBA that don't seem righteous, and his speaking out usually results in a fine of thousands of dollars.  My proposal is that instead of speaking out, that he holds his tongue to save a life!

We will see what happens!

New Fundraiser

Amanda and I have been spending a lot of time in prayer and in ponder as we move along in our adoption process.  One of the the major topics of our conversations is fundraising.  That is, since adoption costs thousands of dollars, we know that we are going to need to fundraise in order to bring home our baby!  We have a few things we are looking forward to doing, some of which include a book I am writing and a cd Amanda is planning to record.  We plan to use all of the funds from those sources to support our adoption.

A recent fundraising opportunity we have comes from a ministry called Sermon Spruce.  Sermon Spruce is a ministry designed to aid pastors who want to "creatively communicate Christ."  It is essentially an organization that helps create contemporary graphics for sermon or teaching series.  Every dollar that is made through this ministry goes to support our adoption!
